We’ve made it possible to update existing database connections on your account. If you’ve connected one of the database engines Geckoboard supports, you’ll find the connection listed at the bottom of the Connections panel, within the Admin section of your account.
From there, click Edit connection to update and save your settings.
We’ve made Notifications available for all our data sources. Now you and your team can get alerted in Slack when important numbers change, wherever your data is coming from - including spreadsheets!
To set a notification up, you’ll first need to add a status indicator to a number or gauge widget. Then just follow the simple steps to connect Slack and choose a channel you want to get notified in.
Our LinkedIn and LinkedIn Ads integrations just got a powerful upgrade. Now split out into two separate integrations, they benefit from a much improved widget-building experience featuring live widget previews, more visualization types and support for multiple metrics on the same line chart.
Notifications are now supported, so you can get alerted instantly in Slack the moment you hit a follower target, spend threshold or other important milestone on your business page. And on most metrics, Interactive View is available, allowing you to drill into more detail from your dashboard, without having to jump into LinkedIn.
New metrics
This update also brings a whole host of new metrics to keep track of, including:
LinkedIn:
New followers (organic, sponsored and total)
Reactions
Reposts
Clicks
Impressions
Engagement rate
LinkedIn Ads:
Cost per conversion
Total conversion value
Leads
Lead form opens
Click conversions
Sponsored message sends
Sponsored message opens
Reach
Video views
…and over 18 other metrics
Almost all of these can be reported on at the account level as well as individual campaign and campaign group levels too, and new filters for country, industry and device type give you even more flexibility.
Truly real-time refresh rates: Intercom widgets now react instantly to changes in your Intercom account.
Wider support for source data: All metrics - apart from customer satisfaction - can be broken down in source data view, opening up more possibilities for diagnosing and analyzing individual conversations.
More historical time periods: We’ve added several convenient time periods that help with historical reporting, including ‘yesterday’ and ‘last week’.
Fixed: The names of teams and teammates in Geckoboard now stay in sync automatically with any changes you make in Intercom.
The vertical bar to the left of each snapshot is now colour-coded - green by default, and red if there has been an error whilst generating your snapshot.
The dashboard title now links to the edit page for that specific dashboard.
Each snapshot now includes a short description of when it’s scheduled to send.
We’ve added a new metric to our Zendesk Support data source - Agent comments - covering both public and internal comments. Using the update type filter makes it possible to track how many comments were replies to existing tickets or produced tickets themselves.
We’ve also expanded support for custom fields; they’re now available as filters on ticket update metrics (such as agent replies), and text and date custom fields can now be displayed as raw data in a table.
It’s now possible to delete connections to individual spreadsheets.
To do this, select Spreadsheets, Excel or Google Sheets from our list of data sources whilst logged in, hover over the spreadsheet you want to remove, and click the delete button.
Making data easy to understand is a core part of Geckoboard’s mission. We took some time recently to improve the way some of our visualizations behave in order to improve legibility and bring them in line with current best practice.
Improved alignment of numbers in a table
Previously, numbers in a table would use proportional spacing, often resulting in them being misaligned. Now numbers align cleanly, making it easier to compare values across different rows in a glance.
Consistent number formatting
Another behavior that previously made tables trickier to read was the use of inconsistent formatting across numbers in a column. This has now been fixed to ensure all numbers share the same abbreviation and number of decimal places.
Column wrapping on tables
We’ve made tables more flexible, to make better use of the space on your dashboards. If your dataset is longer than your widget would normally have allowed, and there’s unused space in your widget, your table will now wrap to show a second column of data.
Newly created tables wrap by default, but you can change this behavior using a new ‘Visualization options’ menu.
Better tooltips
On line and column charts, you’ll now notice tooltips include the name of the series, and there’s less chance of them overlapping with the data point you’re looking at too!
Improved handling of ‘no data’ situations
Number widgets now clearly show when there’s no data available to create a visualization, and no longer hide labels either.
We’re excited to announce the launch of our massively improved Pipedrive data source - one of our biggest updates to date 🎉.
Pipedrive customers can now add a range of new metrics to their dashboards, which now refresh instantly. We’ve also overhauled the widget-building experience, added support for notifications and built three new visualizations that will make your Pipedrive data even more motivational for your sales team. Read on for more!
What’s new?
Easier Pipedrive widget-building
Build Pipedrive-powered dashboards much quicker, with a more streamlined widget-building flow and a live preview of your widgets that lets you see what your widget will look like before it’s saved to your dashboard.
Real-time updates
Celebrate wins and address performance issues faster; our Pipedrive integration now updates the instant deals and activities are updated in Pipedrive itself.
More Pipedrive metrics supported
You can now visualize more metrics from Pipedrive like time to close, duration of activities, weighted value of deals, deals expected to close and many more.
Support for custom fields
By popular request, we now support filtering by custom fields you’ve set up in Pipedrive. Available whatever Pipedrive plan you’re on.
Three new visualizations
We’ve built three brand new visualizations specifically designed to make sales data more motivational - a live leaderboard featuring avatars of your reps, a deal feed, and a funnel designed for monitoring the health of your pipeline.
Notifications

We’ve improved our Facebook data source, making it easier to build and edit widgets, visualize metrics in new ways, and we’ve added support for notifications too.
What’s new?
Live widget previews: You can now preview your Facebook widgets as you’re building them, so you can make sure everything’s looking good before adding them to your dashboard.
Smarter time periods: Facebook data can now be shown for custom time periods, bucketed by day, week, month or year. Most metrics can now also show data for the previous time period, making it easier to compare how performance has changed over time.
Richer visualizations: You can now show more information on a widget by splitting some metrics out by different dimensions, and adding multiple metrics to the same visualization.
Get notified when metrics change: Facebook now supports notifications, so you and your team can get alerted when metrics hit certain thresholds.
Simply add a new Facebook widget to take advantage of these updates. And as ever, let us know what you think!
